Welcome to Life & Business Podcast. In today’s episode, we’ll talk about “Learning to say NO.”
Since childhood, we get used to the idea of avoiding making other people feel uncomfortable, and it could get hard to set boundaries, especially at a business meeting.
In Latin America, the idea of pleasing other people is ingrained in our culture. We say yes to many things, even if we don’t want to. We want people around us to feel comfortable and welcomed.
When you have a business, you need to set boundaries. And should learn to reject projects you don’t want to do and let go of the ones you didn’t get.
With time you get used to rejecting offers you don’t like, setting boundaries, and avoiding compromising your company reputation or income.
Also, you’ll get used to stop thinking about what other people think about you when you reject them. You will understand you are not mean, you have strong beliefs.
As a business owner, you have to be assertive in every negotiation. Your objective is to thrive and help your clients to reach their goals.
